This is the adidas Samba OG, a pair of kids' casual shoes we hold in US 4 to 10.
A shoe that feels soft in the shop is not the same as a shoe that is comfortable at six in the evening. What matters over a long day is being held without pressure points: no heel slip, no compression across the widest part of the foot, about a thumb's width at the toe. Very soft, unstructured shoes often feel best in the first hour and worst by the end.
Dry them away from direct heat. Radiators, heaters and hot car interiors stiffen leather, crack finishes and soften the adhesives holding a sole on. Gradual drying at room temperature is slower and considerably kinder.
