This range covers our two hard-shell lines, Glide and Glide Elite, alongside the soft-sided Metro duffles and a few bags built to work as carry-on. Every Glide case rolls on Japanese-engineered Hinomoto spinner wheels and closes with a flush-mounted TSA-approved combination lock.
The main choice is how a case opens. Glide Lite and Glide Carry-On Pro split clamshell-style into two halves. The Glide Medium and Large and all three Glide Elite cases open from the top into one deep cavity. For camping gear or odd-shaped extras, the Metro Wheeled Duffle gives more than a rigid shell.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Glide and Glide Elite suitcases?
Both use a German polycarbonate shell with 30% recycled content, Hinomoto spinner wheels, YKK double-coil zippers and a flush-mounted TSA lock. Glide Elite adds a rivetless anodised aluminium frame, ZeroRoll brakes that lock the two front wheels, a diamond-textured finish and a third carry handle on the base. The Glide Medium and Large instead have an expander zip and side compression flaps, with an Endura Twill texture.
Which carry-on is the lightest?
The Glide Lite Carry-On is the only carry-on in the range with a published weight: 2.0kg for the empty case. The listings for the other carry-ons do not give a weight, so we cannot rank them against each other on that basis.
How is a top-opening suitcase different from a clamshell?
A clamshell splits into two halves that each need their own space. A top-opening case lifts its lid to show one deep cavity, so you pack from above and can leave the case on a luggage rack while loading it. The Glide Elite Carry-On Pro, Glide Elite Medium Check-In, Glide Elite Large Check-In, Glide Medium Check In and Glide Large Check-In all open this way.
Which carry-on has a separate pocket for a laptop?
The Glide Carry-On Pro and Glide Elite Carry-On Pro both have a quick-access front pocket for a laptop, iPad, passport and documents, so you do not need to open the main case at security. The Glide Carry-On Pro also has a USB port built into its TSA lock, letting you charge a phone from a power bank stored inside.
Do the suitcases have TSA-approved locks?
Yes, all seven Glide and Glide Elite hard-shell cases have an integrated TSA-approved combination lock. The soft Metro Carry-On Duffle uses interlocking zip pullers on the main compartment instead, which you can secure with your own travel lock.
How to choose luggage
Start with trip length
Our describes its cases by trip. The Glide Carry-On Pro and Glide Elite Carry-On Pro are sized for weekends, short trips and business travel. The Glide Medium Check In and Glide Elite Medium Check-In are designed for one to two weeks away, and the two Large Check-In cases for trips of two weeks or more.
Clamshell or top-opening
A clamshell opens into two packing halves, which suits people who like clothes on one side and shoes on the other. Glide Lite and Glide Carry-On Pro open this way. A top-opening case gives you one deep space, so packing cubes stack in view and you avoid spreading two loaded halves across the floor. Every Glide Elite case opens from the top, as do the Glide Medium and Large.
Glide, Glide Elite or Glide Lite
- Glide Elite: rivetless aluminium frame for rigidity, ZeroRoll front-wheel brakes for ramps and train platforms, diamond texture and three carry handles. The Medium and Large add a removable compression pad with Y-strap buckles.
- Glide: an expander zip for extra room on the way home, Endura Twill texture and two cushioned handles. The Medium and Large have side compression flaps, and the Carry-On Pro has a front pocket and USB port.
- Glide Lite Carry-On: 2.0kg, clamshell opening, diamond texture, YKK zippers, Hinomoto wheels and a TSA lock.
Hard shell or soft
The Metro Carry-On Duffle and Metro Wheeled Duffle are made from 900D polyester with a PU coating and roll on two inline skate wheels. Tie-down straps inside hold clothes in place, and the soft sides take bulky or irregular items more easily than a rigid case. If you would rather carry than roll, the Weekender Travel Bag holds 22L and opens flat like a suitcase, and the Road Warrior Backpack holds 28 litres with an 8L expander.
