Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I know my shoe size when ordering online?

Measure your foot length while standing, in the afternoon, wearing the socks you intend to use, and compare that against the size run on the specific product page. Sizes are set by each manufacturer and are not interchangeable between brands, so the number you take in one brand is a starting point rather than an answer.

My feet are wide. What should I look for?

Judge width before length. If the upper bulges over the midsole or the sides of your foot feel compressed, the shoe is too narrow, and buying a longer size adds room at the toe rather than across the foot. Some brands and some models within a brand are cut more generously; the width is usually more comfortable to solve than to tolerate.

Can I wear running shoes as everyday shoes?

Yes, and many people do. Bear in mind that a cushioned running shoe is designed for repeated forward impact rather than standing still, and the outsole wears differently on footpaths than on a track. For days mostly spent standing, a supportive casual shoe often feels better by evening than a very soft running shoe.

Women's shoes, by use

Find the right group first

The range splits into running shoes, basketball and court shoes, casual styles, and flip-flops and sandals. Each is built around a different demand: repeated forward impact, hard lateral movement, all-day standing and walking, or simply being easy to get on and off.

Fit is not just length

Sizing across brands

Each product page lists the US, UK and EU sizes the manufacturer supplies. Those numbers are set by the brand and are not interchangeable: the same nominal size can run noticeably differently between two makers, and between two ranges from the same maker. If you are ordering without trying, measure your foot and compare against that model's size run rather than assuming a size you take elsewhere.

Casual shoes for long days

A shoe that is comfortable for an hour is not necessarily comfortable for eight. For days spent mostly on your feet, look for a shoe that holds the foot without pressure points rather than one that simply feels soft when you first put it on; soft and unsupportive is what aches by evening.
