Court shoes built for polished timber use a softer rubber with a fine herringbone pattern, which grips indoors and wears down quickly on concrete. If you play mainly outdoors, look for a harder, thicker outsole and expect an indoor-only shoe to lose its bite within a season.
Let court shoes dry naturally between sessions and away from direct heat. Heat stiffens adhesives and hardens rubber, and a hardened outsole loses grip on a polished floor, which is exactly the property you bought the shoe for.
