The Asics Contend 9 sits in our kids' running shoes range and comes in 2 colourways and US 3 to 11.
Cushioning is a preference rather than a ranking. A taller, softer midsole absorbs more impact over long distances and suits easy days and higher mileage. A lower, firmer shoe gives more ground feel and a more direct push-off, which many runners prefer for shorter and faster sessions. The right amount is close to what your legs are already used to; changing it sharply is a common cause of new aches.
If you are stepping up distance, do it before you change shoes rather than at the same time. Two variables at once makes it impossible to tell which one caused a niggle, and new shoes get blamed for training errors more often than they deserve.
Colourways include Black / White; White / Glacier Grey. We are an independent retailer rather than an authorised stockist, and this product is made by the brand named on it. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to everything we sell: see our warranty page.
