Aircraft cabins run cold, and on plenty of routes the supplied blanket is thin, shared or simply not offered. This one packs into its own zippered pouch so it travels with you rather than staying home in the cupboard where most travel blankets live.
It is made from a plush micro fleece flannel, and it comes in Blue and Charcoal.
Why the pouch matters
A blanket you cannot carry easily is a blanket you leave behind. The pouch zips shut and attaches two ways: clip it to a backpack or bag with the supplied carabiner, or slide it onto a suitcase handle with the trolley sleeve. Either way it rides on the outside of your luggage instead of using up space inside it, which is the difference between taking it and deciding it is not worth the room.
Where people actually use it
- Long-haul and red-eye flights, where cabin temperature drops overnight and you want something that is yours.
- Trains and long drives, where there is no blanket on offer at all.
- Hotels and rentals with air conditioning you cannot turn down, as an extra layer on the bed.
- As a pillow, packed back into its pouch, when you want head support rather than warmth.
One thing to know before you order
